You Are Not Alone: 10 Celebrities Who Live Gluten Free

Okay y’all, in light of the fact that Celiac Disease affects around 1 in 133 Americans and Gluten Intolerance affects nearly 1 in 20 Americans, it isn’t too surprising there are quite a few Gluten-Free celebrities and athletes. Today, we’re going to look into a couple of the best known people dealing with Celiac Disease or a Gluten Intolerance. I’ll count it down over the next couple weeks from 10 to 1, and will delineate whether or not they deal with an intolerance or Celiac Disease.
10) Zooey Deschanel
In addition to allergies to dairy and eggs, Zooey is also allergic to wheat. Some of Zooey’s claims to fame are starring in the TV show The New Girl, where “she gets special meals delivered to her trailer because she doesn’t want her cast and crew to have to eat all her “weird foods.” and as Jovie in the Christmas movie Elf. She’s also the younger sister of actress Emily Deschanel from the crime show Bones.
9) Drew Brees
Yep, you read that name right. The famous quarterback of the New Orleans Saints was diagnosed with several food allergies in 2004, including Celiac Disease and keeps to a Gluten Free/Dairy Free diet to prevent adverse affects from these items. If you want to take a closer look at how he and his family manage some of their food allergies, check out this article.
That’s all for today! I don’t know about you, but I like to be able to see people in the spotlight dealing with some of the same kinds of things as I do and see how they manage. Our lives are very different, but our struggles are often the same.

Check back soon for more info on celebrities with Gluten Intolerance or Celiac Disease later this week. Keep watching for those upcoming posts on Aldi’s and their LiveGfree line.

Love,
Olivia
